Conference Centre
and other locations
The conference will take place in Hotel Aurora Multiservice (www.albergoaurora.it), a large hotel with many facilities, close to the city of Chiavenna (Sondrio), in the north-western part of Lombardy region. The conference hall has a capacity of 300 people. There are also three smaller conference rooms with a capacity of 12, 30 and 45 people.



Some symposia, the poster session and the drawing exhibition of local students will be held in Chiavenna city, at the ancient Cappuccini cloister and at Pestalozzi Palace. The professional drawing exhibition will be held at Palazzo Pretorio in the centre of Chiavenna. All sites are easily reachable from the Conference centre, both by foot and by bus (see the map).


Audio-visual equipment

Computer and Computer Projector will be provided. The conference room has equipment for PowerPoint presentations. You are requested to bring your presentation on CD-ROM or Memory stick, to avoid time consuming changes of laptops and problems with software. Consult your session chair in advance for installing your presentation in the meeting room.
There is a microphone and sound system in the hall. The language of the conference is English and NO simultaneous translations will be provided.

Posters

Poster boards are available and numbered, you will be given a number during registration. The maximum sizes for posters are 135 x 100 cm. Posters can be set up after you have registered and can be removed latest on Sunday 22 April. The poster session will be held on Saturday 21 April (17.00-19.00).

Internet and Computers

Some laptops with Internet connection will be available in an apposite area at the conference centre. There's also the possibility of connecting your personal laptop in other sockets available in the conference centre.

Badges

A registration badge will be provided to act as identification and to provide access to conference centre and the rooms. The badge is also your ticket for activities included in the conference fee. Should you lose your badge, please report this to the conference secretariat.
