- around 11.00 easy excursion to Acquafraggia falls
- Packed lunch and return to Chiavenna (second part of the visit)
- around 15.00 end of the visit and free evening at the centre of the city
Description:

Guided visit to the ancient town centre to discover the most striking parts, from the many little squares with the typical pavement to the fountains and the potstone portals.
Guided visit to the museum of "The Mill of Bottonera". Sited in the old craftsmen quarter of Chiavenna, the museum is a very rare example of industrial architecture, where the ancient atmosphere of the ?800 miller work is still alive.
Built on four floors, the mill gives the possibility to admire the beautiful carpentry work of the machinery and the duct system construction.
Easy and nice walk to Acquafraggia falls, to relax in the nature and have lunch. There is the possibility to trek on an easy equipped path along the falls.
Visit to both the two potstone and flax weaving craft laboratories: practical show of the flax transformation by ancient methods and tools, and explanation on flax history and cultivation; historical explanation on the potstone use in Valchiavenna and practical show of its manufacturing in laboratory.
Guided visit to Vertemate - Franchi Palace, wonderful masterpiece of the Renaissance, with wide fresco painted hall, sited in a beautiful natural setting.
