| Ornithological Drawing Competition |
The Congress Committee of the 17th International Conference Bird Numbers 2007 "Monitoring for Conservation and Management" announces an ornithological drawing competition. Every technique is allowed.
Conditions
The competition is open to all interested artists.
Send the registration form to the Conference Secretariat by e-mail (ebcc2007@faunaviva.it) or fax (+390287386214), together with the receipt of the registration fee payment. The registration deadline is April 6th 2007. Please fill in the e-mail subject with the following text: "Registration drawing competition".
The fee is € 20,00 (twenty/00).

Works size and delivery
One artist can submit a maximum of two works.
Drawings can be delivered:
- By mail from February 20th to April 6th 2007 to the following address: Associazione FaunaViva - viale Sarca, 78 - 20125 Milano (Italy). The date on the stamp will not be taken into account.
- In person only on April 16th 2007. In this case you must notice to the Conference Secretariat by e-mail (ebcc2007@faunaviva.it) how many works you are supposed to bring and the size of the works, by April 6th 2007.
All unique forms of works are acceptable up to a maximum size of 29,7 x 42 cm.
Exhibition
All the works will be displayed in a public exhibition located at the Pretorio Palace, in Chiavenna. The exhibition will be open to the public during the Conference time.
Visitors are invited to vote for the favourite work in the competition.
Awards and results of the competition
A Popular Jury, composed by the Conference participants and the visitors, and a Honour Jury, composed by local authority representatives, will award three works each.
The results of the competition will be announced at the end of the Conference. The prize awarding ceremony will be held on April 22nd 2007 at 15.00 at Victoria Theatre in Chiavenna.
Popular Jury Awards:
- First prize: the drawing will be printed on "Oasis", a famous nature magazine; in addition the winner will receive a telescope Kowa (TS-502 ZOOM diameter 50mm, straight, zoom 20-40x);
- Second prize: an annual subscription to "Oasis" (12 issues) and a 24 half pans of water colour contained in a metal box, provided by Maimeri;
- Third prize: a 36 high quality acquerellable colored pencils, provided by Maimeri.
Honor Jury Awards:
- First prize: an annual subscription to "Oasis" (12 issues) and typical local food products provided by "Latteria Sociale di Delebio"
- Second prize: 48 oilbars box provided by Maimeri and typical local food products provided by "Latteria Sociale di Delebio"
- Third prize: typical local food products provided by "Latteria Sociale di Delebio".
