To welcome all the participants to the Conference (more than 200 ornithologists), the Organizing Committee, through the local tourist agency, has involved the hotels in Chiavenna and surroundings. The hotels and the accommodation conditions are listed below:
Chiavenna:
- Hotel Aurora Multiservice (Conference centre)***: five minutes by foot from the city centre. A single room will cost 45,00 Euros per night, a multiple room 38,00 Euros per person/night (both prices are breakfast included).

Verceia (about 18 km from Chiavenna):
- Saligari***: in a beautiful position, it overlooks the Mezzola lake, 400 m off the main street. A double room like single room will cost 65,00 Euros per night, a double room 70,00 Euros per night, a superior double room 85,00 Euros per night, a multiple room 110,00 Euros per night (prices are per room, breakfast included; multiple rooms can accommodate up to four people).

Payment: the Conference fee doesn't cover the accommodation costs. The bill will be paid by the participants directly to the hotel before leaving. Only the hotel staff is in charged to make accommodation receipts.
Transportations: During the whole Conference two free little busses will be available for the participants' daily movements. For participants who will have the accommodation in Verceia an additional free transportation will be available twice a day (in the morning before the beginning of the Conference works, in the evening at the end of the activities).
Daily public transportation Verceia-Chiavenna are also available (train and bus):
- Train: it takes about 30 minutes and it costs 1,80 Euros. The frequency is about one train every hour.
- Bus: it takes about 30 minutes and it costs 2,25 Euros. The frequency is one bus every two hours (more frequent in the morning).
